About Us

It All Began in Arequipa

Peru InsideOut was born, quite curiously, in a café in Arequipa, in southern Peru. It was there that the idea of creating a different kind of travel agency took shape – one capable of telling Peru's story from the inside out, connecting travelers with its soul, its culture and its people, without ever compromising on precision in organization.

Finding the right name was not easy. After days of ideas, discussions and trial and error, together with a friend Peru InsideOut was born: an expression of our travel philosophy, based on discovering Peru beyond the surface, through authentic, personal and cultural experiences, far from mass tourism. Traveling with Peru InsideOut means understanding the country from within, connecting with its traditions, its history and its identity.

The founder

The Origin: A Vision

My name is Roberto, founder of Peru InsideOut. I am Italian by birth and completed postgraduate studies in Italy and France. Over the years I have lived and worked in London, Brussels, Rome, Paris, Perth and Sydney, and since October 2010 I have been living in Peru.

Discovering Peru from Within

Before giving definitive shape to Peru InsideOut, I traveled across the country for months, carrying out in-depth, personal research. This deep knowledge of the land, built over more than 15 years of experience in the industry, is the foundation of every tailor-made trip and organized tour in Peru that we create. Today I am happy to be able to contribute, both as a person and as a company, building ties with different local communities, supporting sustainable development and promoting Peruvian culture through responsible, conscious tourism.

Over the years we have grown as a company thanks to our highly committed team and our strategic partners, who represent an essential part of this successful journey.
As a result of our comprehensive, professional work, we hold important certifications and recognitions, including: APTAE, ASETUR, membership in the Arequipa Chamber of Commerce, Travelife, and we are an Official Inca Trail Operator in Cusco, among others.
