It All Began in Arequipa
Perú InsideOut was born, quite curiously, in a café in Arequipa, in southern Peru. It was there that the idea of creating a different kind of travel agency took shape — one capable of telling Peru’s story from the inside out, connecting travelers with its soul, culture, and people, without ever compromising on precision in organization.
The Meaning of Perú InsideOut
Finding the right name was not easy. After days of ideas, discussions, and trial and error, together with a friend, Perú InsideOut was born — an expression of our travel philosophy, based on discovering Peru beyond the surface through authentic, personal, and cultural experiences, far from mass tourism.
Traveling with Perú InsideOut means understanding the country from within, connecting with its traditions, history, and identity.
The Origin: A Vision
My name is Roberto, founder of Perú InsideOut. I am Italian by birth and completed postgraduate studies in Italy and France. Over the years, I have lived and worked in London, Brussels, Rome, Paris, Perth, and Sydney, and since October 2010, I have been residing in Peru.
Discovering Peru from Within
Before giving definitive shape to Perú InsideOut, I traveled across the country for months, conducting in-depth and personal research.
This deep knowledge of the territory, built over more than 15 years of experience in the sector, forms the foundation of every tailor-made journey and organized tour in Peru that we create.
Today, I am proud to contribute — both personally and as a company — by building meaningful connections with local communities, supporting sustainable development, and promoting Peruvian culture through responsible and conscious tourism.
