"The city of the Nuevo Extremo"

Founded by the Spaniard Pedro de Valdivia in 1541, Santiago is located on the banks of the Mapocho river in the country’s center. It is one of the safest cities in Latin America and is Chile’s intellectual and cultural center.
Santiago has modern cultural centers, avant-garde museums, and huge parks, from where you can appreciate the combination and the Latin American-European contrast. The city's main square has been Santiago's symbolic center since its foundation. The climate in this city is temperate, and rain usually occurs during the winter. During summer, temperatures can reach 30 °C, while in winter, they range from 7 °C to 10 °C.
Appreciate Santiago from San Cristóbal Hill, discover the origins of Chilean culture and art at the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, walk in the footsteps of poet Pablo Neruda in his house "La Chascona,” enjoy Chilean cuisine at the Central Market and enjoy the nightlife in the Bellavista neighborhood. Your visit to this impressive metropolis will be unforgettable.
