The city of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, has been a World Heritage Site since 1983. The Huascarán National Park is a real paradise for mountaineering. For archeology lovers, it is a must to visit the archaeological site of Chavín and the archaeological area of Chan Chan, capital of the Chimú civilization.
