Day 1. Cusco: Sun Temple and Inca ruins

Arrival at Cusco airport and transfer to your hotel.
The visit to Cusco will start in the afternoon with the Koricancha Temple. During the Inca period it was a sacred place and today Koricancha houses the Santo Domingo Convent.
Later, you will visit Inca ruins: Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.
Overnight in Cusco.
Day 2. Chinchero, Maras, Moray

After breakfast, depart for Chinchero to discover the archaeological sites followed by a visit to the wonderful salt mines in Maras. Then the tour will continue towards Moray to learn the secrets of the Inca agronomy. In the afternoon, return to Cusco and overnight stay.
Day 3. Sacred Valley: Pisac, Ollantaytambo

After breakfast, visit to the Pisac ruins and the amazing arts and crafts market that now takes place every day. Later on, a short stop at Urubamba before reaching Ollantaytambo.
The village of Ollantaytambo is one of the best preserved architectural sites of the Inca period. The fortress in Ollantaytambo is undoubtedly one of the architectural masterpieces of that era.
At the end of the tour, you will sample the excitement of the famous train that will take you to the foot of Machu Picchu! At your arrival in Aguas Calientes you will be taken to a hotel and there our guide will explain the excursion to Machu Picchu. Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.
Day 4. Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu

The Machu Picchu tour will start early in the morning in the hope of catching the sunrise – a phenomenon that the Inca called Inti Punku. The visit to Machu Picchu will last approximately 4 hours; then, those who love adventure, can climb up Huayna Picchu. This excursion is optional and at the time of booking you will need to purchase an entrance ticket (USD$ 12 extra).
Other optional tours are: visit to the Incas Bridge and the Machu Picchu Mountain.
In the afternoon, a bus will take you back to Aguas Calientes to catch a train to Ollantaytambo from where you will be taken to Cusco for an overnight stay.
Day 5. Ruta del Sol: Puno-Cusco

After breakfast, you will be taken to a tourist coach departing Cusco with destination Puno. The day will be filled with visits that will enable you to enjoy the Colonial ruins in Andahuaylillas; the Inca period in Raqchi, where you will discover the beauty of the Inca temple dedicated to Wiracocha; and finally a stop in Pucara to discover the Lytic Museum with artefacts of the pre-Inca Pucara culture.
Lunch is included in the price of this tour and will be served near di Sicuani. Arrival in Puno in the late afternoon and overnight stay.
Day 6. Uros Islands – Amantani

After breakfast, you will sail from the Port in Puno to reach the Uros Islands renowned because built and rebuilt using totora that grows on the shores of Lake Titicaca. After stopping here for approximately one hour, the excursion on Lake Titicaca continues towards Amantani Island. Here you will meet your host family during your stay on the island. After lunch, a member of “your” family (usually the youngest person) will accompany you to the top of the island to visit the archaeological ruins of the Tiwanaku temples: Pachamama (Mother Earth) and Pachatata (Father Earth). Overnight stay in Amantani.
Day 7. Taquile

After breakfast, you will sail to Taquile Island. In Taquile you will be amazed to discover the people’s art of textiles and the island’s peculiar socio-economic organization. After lunch (included in the price), you will stroll along the shore to reach a boat that will bring you to Puno by late afternoon. Overnight stay in Puno.
Day 8. Puno
After breakfast it will be time to say goodbye as your tour has come to an end. We will be pleased to organize your transfer to Arequipa or Lima.
