Day 1. Tambopata National Park

Pick-up at the airport and transfer to Puerto Maldonado Eco Lodge.
A three-and-a-half-hour motorboat trip up the Tambopata River is just the beginning on this tour. Onboard, lunch is served. During the ride, we observe the rainforest jungle: flocks of birds, capybaras, turtles, caimans, and – if we are very fortunate – a jaguar or two.
Upon arrival at Tambopata Eco lodge, we enjoy a welcoming tropical fruit beverage.
Shortly after our arrival, we explore the pristine nature around the lodge.
After dinner, we enjoy another nature walk.
Overnight at Tambopata Eco Lodge (full board included).
Day 2. “El Chuncho” Macaw Clay Lick

The day begins with a boat ride upstream to the Macaw Clay Lick, “El Chuncho,” within the Bahuaja-Sonene National Park.
This is certainly the highlight of your Amazon experience: hundreds of macaws and parrots provide a unique and once-in-a-lifetime spectacle. You will see them eating clay, squawking, and sitting side by side, making this day and this trip unforgettable.
Following this, it’s time to return to the lodge, where a typical breakfast will be served. After breakfast, there’s time to relax and enjoy various optional activities – kayaking, zip-lining, or perhaps fishing, not included in the everyday, planned activities.
Later in the day, we head to “Cascadas del Gato” (the Cat Cascades), where we can swim and relax in the thermal waters of a naturalhot springs.
After lunch, an ethno-botanical walk is scheduled where we learn about plants with medicinal properties in the surrounding rainforest. This walk also provides us with an opportunity to spot capuchins and howler monkeys.
That night, there is also a nocturnal caiman search!
Dinner and overnight at the Tambopata Eco Lodge (full board included).
Day 3. Puerto Maldonado
After breakfast, we return to Puerto Maldonado and board flights to Lima or Cusco. Transfer included.
