The Llanganuco to Santa Cruz Trek is by far the most famous of all the Cordillera Blanca Treks. This tour will take you over two high mountain passes giving you fabulous views of twelve mountain peaks – Alpamayo, Huascaran, Chopicalqui and Taulliraju among others. It does not get any better than this! The trail reaches a height of 4,700 meters above sea level from where it is possible to appreciate the impressiveness of the snow-covered peaks and the surrounding flora and fauna. This is one Peruvian experience not to be missed with an abundance of lakes, waterfalls, rivers, trails and camping areas.
