Day 1. Welcome to Bolivia

La Paz City Tour
After your arrival in La Paz, you will head to your hotel to drop off your luggage. Following a short break, you will undertake a walking tour to learn more about the city. The historic center of La Paz and Plaza Murillo provides an opportunity to savor many great buildings and sites including the cathedral and Iglesia San Francisco. The Museo Costumbrista Juan de Vargas contains many old costumes, dioramas, colonial artifacts and photographs representing the history of this turbulent city. The Museo de Metalas Preciosos (also known as Museo del Oro) contains an impressive collection of Pre-Colombian precious metals and ancient archeological pieces. The witches’ market is full of witches (of course!), folk doctors and medicine women selling their wares providing lots of colorful photo opportunities. Overnight stay in La Paz to relax and unwind.
Day 2. An ancient city state: Tiwanaku!

After breakfast you will set off on a tour to Tiwanaku, a Pre-columbian site which was once home to the people of the same name. This complex was originally the capital of a large empire which stretched into both Peru and Chile. After a visit of the archeological park, you will return to La Paz. Enjoy a quiet evening in the city of La Paz.
Day 3. Salar de Uyuni awaits

Today you head to the airport for your La Paz-Uyuni flight and the start of your Salar de Uyuni adventure. The Salar de Uyuni presents you with a memorable view of the salt flats allowing you the chance to take some spectacular photographs. You will visit the abandoned trains and rail cars in the aptly named train cemetery and explore the first salt made hotel in the Salar. Your tour will continue on to the salt refinery in Colchani and conclude on Isla Incahuasi, a former island in the middle of the salt flat containing coral like structures from approximately 40,000 years ago when the area was submerged underwater. Lunch is provided during the tour and you will spend an overnight stay in Uyuni.
Day 4. Enter PotosÃ

After breakfast, you will transfer to the bus terminal to board the bus for your Uyuni-Potosi leg. You will check in to your hotel for your overnight stay in Potosi, one of the highest cities in the world.
Day 5. Potosi City Tour

Today will have the opportunity to visit the National Mint and take a tour the legendary Cerro Rico mine in Potosi. Following this adventurous day you will catch the Potosi-Sucre bus for your overnight stay in Sucre.
Day 6. Elegant Sucre

Wake up feeling refreshed so you can commence your city tour after breakfast. You will walk to La Recoleta and visit its Museo del Claustro as well as Museo Charcas, which houses three museums in one; the anthropological, the colonial and modern art. Casa de la Libertad will provide you with a glimpse of the nation’s pride. It was here in this very building, when in 1852 the republic was created with the country’s signing of the Bolivian declaration of independence. You will have the chance to finish up your souvenir shopping and sample the local cuisine with your free afternoon. Enjoy your last night of the 7 day Bolivia extension classic tour.
Day 7. Time flies
your Sucre-La Paz flight. You will transfer to the city tour at which point your tour will end.
