Northern Patagonia
Northern Patagonia is the youngest area in Chile and was the last to integrate. At the beginning of the 20th century, Chile began to colonize it; therefore, many localities are barely 50 years old and are sparsely populated. Salmon farming is one of the main industries in the area, thanks to the cold water.
