Transfer from the airport and immediately head to the Manatee Rescue Center, a center for Amazonian manatee who are rehabilitated and released back in their natural habitat. Enjoy the experience of observing these stunning creatures close. Transfer to Nautu to visit the Sapi Sapi Pond and see the largest Amazonian fish, the paiche, as well as other species including arawana and quelonios. Transfer to Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge for a delicious lunch followed by an afternoon stroll through the surroundings. In the evening you will head out again trying to locate the tiny poison-dart frogs that inhabit this area. Overnight stay at the Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge.
Day 2. Pacaya Samiria National Reserve – San Jorge Community

Jungle of Mirrors
Following breakfast you will head to Pacaya Samiria National Reserve to the so called area of Nauta Caño to spot the pink river dolphins. Known as the jungle of mirrors, the reserve is one of the largest protected areas in Peru. Walk the flooded forests to observe the sloths, a large variety of birds, and other primates who call this area home. After returning to the Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge, you will visit the community of San Jorge to watch traditional crafts being created and learn more about local myths and legends during our after dinner get together.
Day 3. A jungle trek

Today your adventure includes hiking through the jungle to admire the local flora and fauna. Rest in hammocks or enjoy the cool water from a nearby gorge. After lunch you have the opportunity to learn more about the medicinal plants and the practice of ayahuasca. After dinner, enjoy your final night’s stay at the lodge.
Day 4. Visit of the Community 20 de Enero

End of the Tour - Attractions
Shiriyacu Lagoon
Today you will set sail up Marañ on River towards the Shiriyacu Lagoon to learn more about traditional fishing methods and even try your hand at catching a fish. You will have a chance to explore the surrounding area before heading back to the lodge. Collect your luggage and transfer to the airport in Iquitos for your return flight home.
