Salar de Surire
The Salar de Surire Natural Monument was created in 1983 and is part of the Lauca Biosphere Reserve. The salt flat’s extensive white surface makes it majestic in contrast to the blue of its lagoons. You can find different species of flora and fauna, mostly huge herds of vicuñas and groups of vizcachas. However, this reserve is known mainly because three species of flamingos inhabit it.
