    Day 1: Our friendly staff will meet you at the airport in Lima and take you directly to the hotel. You can rest after your long flight, or undertake a supplementary city tour if you wish.

    Day 2: Learn about the expansive and fascinating history of Peru and its different cultures. You can stroll the colonial streets of ‘The City of the Kings’, stop by Huaca Pucllana and visit the Museo Larco. In the afternoon you will travel to Paracas on the Pan-American Highway, savor lunch on the go and admire the spectacular landscape as you drive by .

    Day 3: Nature lovers will enjoy the tour of the Ballestas Islands and admire sea lions, penguins, boobies and pelicans and catch a glimpse of the Candelabra of the Andes, a prehistoric geoglyph etched into the hillside of the Paracas Peninsula. Afterwards, you can tour the Paracas National Reserve, and in particular the Red Beach, the rock formations and the fossils that captivate all who visit.

    Day 4: The Nazca Lines are indeed a mystery and charm visitors on a daily basis. Climb the observation tower to view the markings and even take an optional plane ride to admire the grand artwork from above. You will then tour the Antonini Archaeological Museum and the Chauchilla Cemetery and learn more about the ancient cultures of Peru. Travel to Arequipa by overnight bus, or take the afternoon bus ride and spend the night in Arequipa (skipping the cemetery visit) – your tour, your choice.

    Day 5: Santa Catalina Monastery is the city within a city, and you can relish the colorful surroundings and the peacefulness that this tour will bring. In the afternoon you can spend time in the bustling Plaza de Armas in Arequipa and sample the world-famous Peruvian cuisine.

    Day 6: You will learn more about the sillar (white volcanic stone) that the ‘White City’ of Arequipa is named after, see how alpaca yarn is woven and try your hand at making traditional Peruvian food. It’s a fun day, and in the afternoon you have some free time to wander and pick up a souvenir or two to remind you of your visit.

    Day 7: the Colca Canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world, and today you have the chance to see it with your own eyes and marvel at the sheer expanse of the landscape. Explore the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, and take in the views with alpaca and vicuna grazing in the fields. Savour a traditional Peruvian lunch in Chivay and relax in the natural hot springs followed by a traditional music performance.

    Day 8: Start the day with the condors flying over the rim of the Colca Canyon at Cruz Del Condor. Stop by a number of small villages ending the journey in Puno, on the shores of stunning Lake Titicaca.

    Day 9: Board your boat at the Port of Puno and tour the floating reed islands of Uros before meeting your host family on Amantani Island where you will spend the night. In the afternoon you can visit the Tiwanaku ruins and watch a traditional dance ceremony.

    Day 10: Say goodbye to your host family and travel to the island of Taquile where you can see the hand-woven crafts and textiles that the island is famed for. You can pick up a souvenir or two before eating a delicious lunch on the island. You will spend the evening in Puno.

    Day 11: Today you will make the journey from Puno to Cusco, but the trip is far from dull. You will stop at Pukara – a town of potters, then at La Raya mountain pass to admire the view, and visit the archeological site of Raqchi and finally Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel of Peru.

    Day 12: Your first day in Cusco is a busy one. Not only will you visit Korikancha and the Plaza de Armas, but you will also see the Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Tambomachay, and Puca Pucara.

    Day 13: Your tour today will take you deep into the heart of the Sacred Valley through Pisac, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. You will have the opportunity to visit the Pisac ruins, browse the artisan markets, taste a traditional lunch and in the afternoon, catch the train to Aguas Calientes in preparation for your visit to Machu Picchu.

    Day 14: We have saved the best for last. Today you will tour the wondrous citadel of Machu Picchu. After an early start, you can see the site at sunrise and learn about the history of Machu Picchu from your qualified and knowledgeable tour guide. Following your visit to Machu Picchu, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo and return to Cusco by bus.

    Day 15: Say goodbye to the ancient capital of Cusco, as you fly to Lima for your journey back home. What a fantastic two-week experience and over the course of the time you will have made many new friends and learnt a lot about our favorite South American destination.

    Day 7: Condors are such graceful birds, and you can see them soar high in the sky above the Cruz Del Condor. Following this fantastic experience, you will head to Puno through the delightful countryside where you will spend the evening.

    Day 8: Lake Titicaca and the floating islands of Uros are unlike anything else you will have seen. You will also visit Taquile Island and learn more about the handicrafts and textiles which are produced here.

    Day 9: Today you will travel to Cusco via the Ruta del Sol stopping to visit villages and archaeological sites along the way.
